Good to Know

Frequently Asked Questions

From itinerary planning to onboard amenities, here is everything you need to know about your upcoming voyage.

What services are included onboard?

Our charters offer a full-service luxury experience with a highly professional crew. This includes a private chef preparing fresh, healthy breakfasts, lunches, and dinners (upon request), a dedicated hostess/host providing full table and drink service, and a seaman available for dinghy transfers. Water sports (jet ski, paddleboarding, snorkeling, tubing) and daily housekeeping are also included. Meals are customized based on preferences selected weeks in advance, allowing you to relax completely.

How is the itinerary planned?

Each day is planned according to your preferences. Whether you enjoy swimming, wineries, secluded bays, or cultural experiences, we tailor the itinerary to suit your interests. Our captain specializes in avoiding crowded hotspots, guiding you to quieter locations for an authentic Adriatic lifestyle. If weather conditions aren't ideal for swimming, we offer excellent cultural alternatives including historic towns and ancient landmarks.

What is the best time of year to charter?

The best off-peak months are May and June, offering minimal crowds and pleasant temperatures before the peak heat. September and early October are also highly recommended; the sea remains warm, tourist numbers decrease, and the atmosphere is relaxed—a favorite time for locals.

Where can I find pricing information?

Detailed pricing information, including seasonal rates and obligatory extras, can be found on our Charter & Pricing page. Please contact us for a specific proposal.

What are the cabin features?

All cabins are soundproofed, allowing guests to enjoy peaceful nights accompanied only by the sound of the sea. Each cabin features a private en-suite bathroom and individual air-conditioning controls for maximum comfort.

Will the crew change during the trip?

No. The same professional crew remains onboard for the entire duration of your charter, ensuring consistency, comfort, and personalized service from the moment you step onboard.

Is Wi-Fi available onboard?

Yes. Unlimited Wi-Fi is available throughout the yacht, including the flybridge and even while swimming nearby.

Can the vessel be chartered under a trust or LLC?

Yes, the vessel can be chartered under a trust or LLC. We are experienced in handling corporate and trust-based booking structures.

Can we reserve the charter for less than 7 days?

Yes, you absolutely can. The minimum duration is 4 days. Keep in mind that a Gulet is a traditional wooden cruising vessel, not a speedboat, so it travels at a relaxed pace. For example, it takes almost 2 days from Dubrovnik to Split with our Gulet. For shorter charters, the only embarkation and disembarkation locations are in the Dubrovnik area (Cavtat, Srebreno).

Is this a shared charter, or do we have the Gulet to ourselves?

The Gulet is entirely yours. When you charter the Adriatic Holiday, the whole yacht is exclusively reserved for your group — no other guests, no strangers. The only other people on board are our 4 dedicated crew members (Captain, Chef, Sailor, and Hostess), who are there solely to make your holiday perfect and completely stress-free.

What is included in the charter price?

The charter price includes the full use of the Gulet and all its cabins, the services of the entire 4-person crew (Captain, Chef, Sailor, and Hostess), all meals prepared fresh on board by our chef, non-alcoholic beverages, snorkelling equipment, fishing gear, and water toys. Alcoholic beverages, port fees, and fuel for extended motoring are typically settled at the end of the voyage.

How long does it take from Dubrovnik to Split?

With our Gulet, it usually takes almost 2 days constant cruising or 3 days of relaxed cruising. This allows you to enjoy the beautiful Adriatic coastline, stop for swims in hidden bays, and truly experience the journey rather than just rushing to a destination.

What is the maximum speed of the Gulet?

The Adriatic Holiday has a comfortable cruising speed of 8 knots and can reach a maximum of around 10 knots. Because we cruise at a relaxed pace, you truly get to savour the journey. As a real-life reference: it takes us about 4 to 4.5 hours to sail from Dubrovnik to the Mljet National Park — approximately 34 nautical miles of stunning Adriatic scenery.

What happens if the weather turns bad?

Your safety is always our first priority. Our experienced captain monitors weather forecasts daily and will adjust the route or find a sheltered anchorage if conditions deteriorate. The Adriatic is generally very calm in peak season (June–September), but the Bora and Jugo winds can occasionally pick up. In the rare event of genuinely severe weather that prevents safe sailing, we work with you to reschedule or find the best solution possible.

What is the cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change. Cancellations made more than 60 days before departure receive a full refund. Cancellations between 30 and 60 days in advance are charged 50% of the total. Cancellations within 30 days are non-refundable, though we will always do our best to find a replacement booking and pass any recovered funds back to you. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers charter holidays.

Where do we board and disembark?

The standard embarkation and disembarkation point is in the Dubrovnik area — specifically Cavtat or Srebreno marina, which are easily accessible from Dubrovnik Airport (approximately 5–10 minutes by car). If your itinerary ends in Split, we can arrange disembarkation there as well. We will send you precise meeting-point details and logistics well in advance of your departure.
