Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before you set sail. Can't find the answer you're looking for? We're happy to help.
Yes, you absolutely can. The minimum duration is 4 days. Keep in mind that a Gulet is a traditional wooden cruising vessel, not a speedboat, so it travels at a relaxed pace. For example, it takes almost 2 days from Dubrovnik to Split with our Gulet. For shorter charters, the only embarkation and disembarkation locations are in the Dubrovnik area (Cavtat, Srebreno).
The Gulet is entirely yours. When you charter the Adriatic Holiday, the whole yacht is exclusively reserved for your group — no other guests, no strangers. The only other people on board are our 4 dedicated crew members (Captain, Chef, Sailor, and Hostess), who are there solely to make your holiday perfect and completely stress-free.
The charter price includes the full use of the Gulet and all its cabins, the services of the entire 4-person crew (Captain, Chef, Sailor, and Hostess), all meals prepared fresh on board by our chef, non-alcoholic beverages, snorkelling equipment, fishing gear, and water toys. Alcoholic beverages, port fees, and fuel for extended motoring are typically settled at the end of the voyage.
With our Gulet, it usually takes almost 2 days constant cruising or 3 days of relaxed cruising. This allows you to enjoy the beautiful Adriatic coastline, stop for swims in hidden bays, and truly experience the journey rather than just rushing to a destination.
The Adriatic Holiday has a comfortable cruising speed of 8 knots and can reach a maximum of around 10 knots. Because we cruise at a relaxed pace, you truly get to savour the journey. As a real-life reference: it takes us about 4 to 4.5 hours to sail from Dubrovnik to the Mljet National Park — approximately 34 nautical miles of stunning Adriatic scenery.
Your safety is always our first priority. Our experienced captain monitors weather forecasts daily and will adjust the route or find a sheltered anchorage if conditions deteriorate. The Adriatic is generally very calm in peak season (June–September), but the Bora and Jugo winds can occasionally pick up. In the rare event of genuinely severe weather that prevents safe sailing, we work with you to reschedule or find the best solution possible.
We understand that plans can change. Cancellations made more than 60 days before departure receive a full refund. Cancellations between 30 and 60 days in advance are charged 50% of the total. Cancellations within 30 days are non-refundable, though we will always do our best to find a replacement booking and pass any recovered funds back to you. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers charter holidays.
The standard embarkation and disembarkation point is in the Dubrovnik area — specifically Cavtat or Srebreno marina, which are easily accessible from Dubrovnik Airport (approximately 5–10 minutes by car). If your itinerary ends in Split, we can arrange disembarkation there as well. We will send you precise meeting-point details and logistics well in advance of your departure.
