We have just disembarked from the Adriatic Holiday and can’t wait to be back soon. We had the most amazing time during this past week. Captain Ante and his crew outdid themselves to share with us the best of their beautiful county. Every stop was carefully planned so that our group would enjoy the pristine beaches, the national parks, the picturesque towns and busy cities that the Dalmatian coast has to offer. The meals on board were all delicious! Antonio cooked splendid Croatian food and catered to everyone’s taste. Whenever we had dinner outside, Capt. Ante offered the best suggestions. He also had great advise for things to do in every stop. We celebrated my father’s birthday on board and the crew made sure to make it a memorable and fun event. We take home the best memories of this week and most importantly, we appreciate the friendships we made with all the crew. We are going to miss them until next time!

The time spent with Captain Ante, his crew and vessel reversed the effects of life’s clock on the body!

This was truly an extraordinary experience! Captain Ante is a skilled Captain and as important, a great person. In addition to his personally owned, well maintained and appointed vessel “Adriatic Holiday”, he has amassed an attentive and talented crew! As a captain and experienced charter boat patron myself, I can fully appreciate his acumen for safety, hosting capabilities, and navigational prowess. We were a crew of 10 – friends in our mid 60’s. A sample day in paradise would include the following: Fantastic Breakfast (served on the aft table overseeing the incredible scenery) consisting of espresso, juice, eggs, bacon, bread, meats, cheese, yogurt, cereals, etc. It’s amazing what the chef can produce in the ship’s galley – you would think you were in a renowned landside restaurant. Captain Ante’s thoughtful morning briefings covering the next port of call, which he would always present as “a suggestion” and willing to listen and modify to the druthers of the passengers. I say thoughtful, as he would factor in wind conditions and other considerations as well as answer any questions regarding the itinerary. A fantastic voyage to the destination, where the passengers relax, laugh and pinch themselves thinking… I can’t believe I’m here! Anchor in a cove and swim / snorkel off the transom, into the beautiful Adriatic! Lunch…seafood delights would follow. There was time to explore beautiful islands or just relax onboard. Captain Ante would also snorkel, capture fresh dinner (oyster, fish, etc.). Have an amazingly prepared dinner (artistically presented, and even more delicious, impeccably paired to perfection with local wines). Pace yourself, because the desserts will blow you away! As a charterer, I would usually provision half meals on board and half on shore. We adjusted our plan to have more meals on board due to the talents of the chef! Captain Ante would also share his family’s home made grappa and spirits; as well as their delicious olive oil. More fun and merriment until hitting the berth. Blessed to be able to do it again the next day Incredible trip… without a spoiler alert…the Dinner with Captain was epic. We were blessed to meet the Captain’s two boys on shore at the end of the trip in Dubrovnik! Established what I hoped to be a life-long friendship with the captain and was joyed to hear about the birth of his daughter the week after our trip. This was definitely my most memorable vacation ever! I would highly recommend this adventure to experience the best of Croatia, on the best way to experience it from the water on the Adriatic Holiday, with the most amazing captain Ante! This is an experience, not to be missed!

The ONLY way to see the Dalmatian Coast!

My words cannot do this trip justice- sailing on the Adriatic Holiday was one of the most extraordinary travel experiences of my life. There were 6 of us on our family trip and the staterooms were perfectly appointed for us. There are so many places on the boat to watch for sea life and feel the warm winds- you could find quiet places all over the boat to relax or join your group to be together for lively conversations and fun inside and out. The Adriatic Holiday is a gorgeous yacht, with beautiful teak decks and a perfect swim deck off the stern (we swam multiple times a day in the amazing, very buoyant Adriatic Sea, as well as SUPed and wakeboarded). Comfortable seating areas with couches and a bar were up top on the flybridge and the indoor salon with dining and seating areas were lovely. One night we had our own family dance party on the flybridge then moved to the stern for dinner where our fantastic crew set up the dining table. We had every meal on the aft deck, so the sun and breezes could remind us we were in the most beautiful place on earth. If you have not been gently rocked to sleep by the sea, then it is time. This crew was very special and took great care of us. Our Captain lead us to the most beautiful bays to anchor, swim, and fill our bellies with amazing food. We learned about how Croatia has 1200 islands, and although we could not see them all- our Captain lead us to the most gorgeous and fascinating ones. The layers of history, culture, wonderful Croatian people and the food made me want to stay forever. The crew was always ready to show us amazing things from the sea, and were ready for anything we needed. The meals and snacks that came out of the galley were so delicious- the freshest foods possible! The chance to eat so well and with such care was very special. Captain Ante always had perfect wines to pair with our meals and we got to taste wines from all the regions of Croatia. The Adriatic Holiday was the best way to experience Croatia and I cannot wait to return one day. We were all sad to leave our new friends but now our family gets to share stories, memories and daydream about our life at sea on the Adriatic Holiday.

Spectacular week sailing on the Adriatic

We are two families of 8 people total from New Jersey with adult children ages 21-27. We originally booked this trip in October of 2019 to sail in July 2020. Then COVID hit. Needless to say, there was a lot of anxiety about whether the trip would happen. Luckily, we were able to reschedule for July 2021. I mention this because, during this time, I got to know Captain Ante through email and immediately knew that he was a man of integrity and character and that our long awaited trip was going to be amazing. He did not disappoint. In fact, the trip exceeded our expectations. There is a reason that all of the reviews are 5 stars. Many other reviews capture, quite eloquently, the magical sailing adventure and I concur with their sentiments. We sailed from Dubrovnik to Split. The journey was full of picturesque stops. The Adriatic has to be seen in person to appreciate its true beauty. Captain Ante is very skilled and he and his crew were very polite and attentive. We were very comfortable and shared a lot of laughs and good stories. Shout out to Ivo for the many authentic and delicious meals! I was born in Croatia and have been back many times, however, this was my first week-long sailing experience on the Adriatic. Combined with the shore excursions, it’s a great way to see Croatia. I highly recommend a gulet sailing trip on the Adriatic Holiday; it is spacious, clean and unique. We did not experience any issues with rough waters at all. Sitting on the flybridge and taking in the beautiful sights is really something special. This trip offered something for each of us from total relaxation, swimming, sunbathing, great water sports & shore excursions. Thank you Captain Ante, Ivan, Ivo & Borko!

10 of us, ages 14-60, two families plus kids’ friends, all had the times of our lives. None of us sailed before and some were worried we’d feel claustrophobic after a few days. In the event, I can say with confidence that not once any one of us felt that way! The boat is spacious, with three distinct areas on the deck plus another one inside so groups could feel independent if desired. The generous outdoor table provided a focus for everyone at meal times, the great occasions to share diverse and great quality food Ante and his crew prepared for us. Ante was knowledgeable about the places we stopped at and flexible in agreeing the routes we took. We felt very much a part of the team! We will definitely do it again!!!
