The time spent with Captain Ante, his crew and vessel reversed the effects of life’s clock on the body!

This was truly an extraordinary experience! Captain Ante is a skilled Captain and as important, a great person. In addition to his personally owned, well maintained and appointed vessel “Adriatic Holiday”, he has amassed an attentive and talented crew! As a captain and experienced charter boat patron myself, I can fully appreciate his acumen for safety, hosting capabilities, and navigational prowess. We were a crew of 10 – friends in our mid 60’s. A sample day in paradise would include the following: Fantastic Breakfast (served on the aft table overseeing the incredible scenery) consisting of espresso, juice, eggs, bacon, bread, meats, cheese, yogurt, cereals, etc. It’s amazing what the chef can produce in the ship’s galley – you would think you were in a renowned landside restaurant. Captain Ante’s thoughtful morning briefings covering the next port of call, which he would always present as “a suggestion” and willing to listen and modify to the druthers of the passengers. I say thoughtful, as he would factor in wind conditions and other considerations as well as answer any questions regarding the itinerary. A fantastic voyage to the destination, where the passengers relax, laugh and pinch themselves thinking… I can’t believe I’m here! Anchor in a cove and swim / snorkel off the transom, into the beautiful Adriatic! Lunch…seafood delights would follow. There was time to explore beautiful islands or just relax onboard. Captain Ante would also snorkel, capture fresh dinner (oyster, fish, etc.). Have an amazingly prepared dinner (artistically presented, and even more delicious, impeccably paired to perfection with local wines). Pace yourself, because the desserts will blow you away! As a charterer, I would usually provision half meals on board and half on shore. We adjusted our plan to have more meals on board due to the talents of the chef! Captain Ante would also share his family’s home made grappa and spirits; as well as their delicious olive oil. More fun and merriment until hitting the berth. Blessed to be able to do it again the next day Incredible trip… without a spoiler alert…the Dinner with Captain was epic. We were blessed to meet the Captain’s two boys on shore at the end of the trip in Dubrovnik! Established what I hoped to be a life-long friendship with the captain and was joyed to hear about the birth of his daughter the week after our trip. This was definitely my most memorable vacation ever! I would highly recommend this adventure to experience the best of Croatia, on the best way to experience it from the water on the Adriatic Holiday, with the most amazing captain Ante! This is an experience, not to be missed!
